Strike A Pose | Homo sarcasmus - the official blog of Heath L. Buckmaster

My dear friend Doug (whom everyone should know by now from my previous references to him, and the link to his blog on the right side of the page), informed me that Madonna’s music catalogue is now (finally) available on iTunes.

I already have most of her cd’s, however, there are a couple I do not have, and so when I first started using iTunes, Madonna was one of the first searches I did. I was displeased to see that only her audio books of her children’s stories were available. I thought, why on earth would she not be on board with the success of iTunes and start raking in more cash? (Though I don’t know the iTunes business model, so I don’t know how much the artists actually get from the sales…interesting future research topic)

However, yesterday with the introduction of iTunes 5.0, she’s now featured on the splash screen and we have access to nearly all of her albums. Single albums don’t seem to be there yet, but I’m sure they aren’t far behind (note: suddenly her single albums are showing up on amazon, so who knows what kind of new deal she’s struck with her label).

I’m pleased as punch that I’ll one day soon, be able to find that remix of Open Your Heart that has so far eluded me, or perhaps the official version of the Club St. John Vogue mix (snaps to Michael Rognlien for introducing me to that mix many years ago).

Buy and enjoy!
