Sacramento Teen Questioned By Secret Service
10:33 p.m. PDT October 13, 2006SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A Sacramento teen who was pulled out of class by the Secret Service is sharing her story with KCRA. Julia Wilson, a straight-A student at McClatchy High School, spends a lot of her free time on the networking website MySpace.
Here is a lesson for all of you folks who think that no one reads your posts. Apparently the Secret Service does (although it takes them some time to get around to talking to you about it - why can’t they just use the comment features like everyone else?)
And really, are you surprised about hearing yet another story about shenanigans going on on myspace? It seems like every other day they are uncovering plots, terrorism, etc. on people’s myspace accounts. And we’re not talking about people who are in their 30’s or 40’s, we’re talking about kids. Kids blogging about blowing things up or shooting people. (even though over half the myspace users are over 35)
Or what this girl blogged about…I won’t mention it here because I don’t want to get pulled out of work for 15 minutes and get yelled at by the Secret Service - you can read about what she did on the link above.
Seriously, who creates a group like that on myspace and thinks they are going to get away with it? Nothing online is private or safe people…but it’s good to know the Secret Service is protecting us from teenagers everywhere.
