Nothing too unexpected, some a bit too long for me right now, some I have already seen, but the whole ham episode was funny and really did give me a few more datapoints on you (but mostly on David… which of course now must be balanced by more datapoints on the smart things he does or else I will just retain his reasoning with using the garbage disposal). By the way, if there is anything you don’t want to leave in the garbage (because it would stink to high heaven before disposal day and disturb the homeless woman) but do want to remove from the fridge, you have two choices: 1) bury it in the back-yard (be sure to do this at night and wave flashlights around to attrack the attention of neighbors and then speak in suspiciously loud whispers augmented with words like “Hush”, “Police”, “He was asking for it”, etc., or 2) double bag and freeze it until garbage day.

I made the mistake of buying one of those huge cans of nuclear nacho cheese one time from costco and didn’t sub-divide and freeze enough of it when I first opened it. I did satisfy my curiosity over whether it would ever spoil… it does, and I really don’t want to ever see such a sight again in my lifetime. On a positive note, I don’t think that it actually smelled very different.

I have been trying to find space for a compost bin in the back yard, that we could use to throw out kitchen refuse, but we’ve run out of space…

As for freezing things – I fear we would forget about them and wind up with a freezer full of frozen yuck-in-bags.
