I finally had time to put my new computer together today, and it’s in the middle of installing Vista Ultimate, so I am taking a break on my other computer to blog.
The new computer is an HP Pavillion - Core 2 Duo and all that good stuff, pretty much fully loaded. I have a Dell which has served me well for many years (Pentium 4), but I wanted to step into the next generation of computing, and then convert the old system to another linux box.
So far so good - I really like the form factor of the HP Pavillion. The ports for USB, audio, media cards, etc. are easy to access and intuitive. I of course wiped the system to get rid of all the junk that comes pre-installed, and now I’m letting Vista Ultimate consume the machine.
I have a few posts backed up in the system…what can I say, I had a lot of candy at the White Elephant Party.
Coming soon: info about Cirque du Soleil Kooza, our trip to Apple Hill, the White Elephant Party, and t-shirts everyone should own.
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Oh - the book is now back available for sale.
