Wow.

I’ve been saying “wow” a lot lately in reference to American Idol.

I don’t know about you, but performance night was a major snooze fest. I’m hesitant to even categorize this post in the “music” category.

Paula actually seemed coherent during the entire show, which was new; and there was zero drama with David Archuleta’s dad because they only showed him on camera for about 1.8 seconds.

Anyone else miss this guy right about now? I can’t even remember his name. Oh that’s right, it was also David.

At least he offered some eye-candy, which we haven’t had on the show in WEEKS.

The songs were incredibly boring and useless – none of them showed off what the singers can actually do, and in some cases, probably doomed them (think Syesha here).

I knew it would be down to the David’s – Cook and Archuleta – but I really don’t care who wins because they’ll all get contracts at some point, and apparently already do. Blah, blah, blah.

The possibility of surprise is gone. I’m ready for So You Think You Can Dance.
