I have two things for you today…first is a music recommendation, and second is a very odd-sounding but delicious mashup.

I am totally digging this track which has been getting a lot of air play in the UK for weeks now. I will admit that I get a lot of my musical inspirations as of late from the UK…and why not?

Antigone has a sensual voice that might be a bit reminiscent of Goldfrapp, but better . Two other tracks that are worthy of notice from her recent album release AntigoneLand are: Funky Dancers & More Man Than Man.

Mashup

Ok you’re going to have to just go with me on this one…I sometimes drink coffee out of this ridiculously large mug that my coworker Jacquie gave to me from a recent trip to DisneyLand. It’s a Jack Skellington mug, and it has become my favourite mug to use on a weekend morning when I’m needing coffee.

I have also taken to using it for “normal” beverages when I’m done with coffee just because it’s convenient, and it’s big. So keep this in mind – usually I drink coffee in it, but sometimes other things.

I was done with coffee and I rinsed it out, filled it with ice, and poured in a nice tall glass of Raspberry Ice Crystal Light. I enjoyed half the mug and went back to get more. I opened the refrigerator, pulled out the sugar-free French Vanilla creamer and poured creamer into the mug. I then put the creamer back into the fridge and stared at the mug full of creamy red liquid.

I filled the rest of the mug with more crystal light, took a sip, and it was DELICIOUS. I’m not kidding you on this – it was yummy. Raspberry French Vanilla Ice. Sounds like a bad rapper, tastes like a 50/50 with raspberry sorbet and vanilla ice cream.
