On this date in 1439, a kissing prohibition was legislated by the English Parliament as a means of controlling the plague. (reference: Forgotten English, Jeffrey Kacirk)

I am in urgent need of your help. Someone is missing their gum! Is it yours?

shoegum.jpg

I am sure that they are worried sick about their gum - I can only imagine what it must feel like to be on-site, enjoying your chew, “accidentally” spitting your gum out onto the floor without knowing it, and then hours later realize that it’s missing.

I can’t even imagine the pain and mental torment I would go through knowing that my gum is out there… somewhere… desperately trying to find me again yet not knowing where to look. Would I report the gum missing? Would there be an internal investigation to determine when I last tasted the gum? Would anyone really be able to help me?

I might even put up signs and offer a reward. The gum means that much to me. Search parties aren’t out of the question…let’s canvas the building from the lobby to the cafe - it’s got to be here somewhere!

Won’t you help me find the owner of this gum? I know they must be missing it…

Urinals - image from Wikimedia CommonsYou know you’re cold when the heat rising from the urinal, as you use it, feels good.

Smoking Loon SyrahSmoking Loon 2006 California Syrah is an excellent wine to drink in a hotel room that is chilled to a comfortable 65 degrees.

I’m just saying…

Tonight we went to sushi with Rachelle and Kim - it was the last dinner with Ra before she moves across the country.

On the way to the restaurant, we needed to make a right turn and Rachelle was about to turn until she realized that a woman to her left was coming across the intersection and had the right of way.

So I, in the back seat, said, “Yeah, she’s got the ROW, the Right Of Way“.

And David, sitting to the left of me said…wait for it…”Yeah it’s ROW vs. WAIT“.

Laughter ensued, and within moments Rachelle was literally in tears from laughter. She laughed the entire way to the restaurant.

David is pretty funny at times.

BTW: if you don’t get it, try saying what David said out loud and see if it rings a bell.

Here’s something I adore about Vista - the snipping tool.

snippet1.JPG

I just drug my mouse around and created an image based on what I “snipped” from the upper right corner of my screen. I think this might just be my new favourite tool in Vista.

Yay!!!

My head hurts.

Someone in site services decided I no longer needed the filter in the light over my desk and so they removed it.

Why oh why do people not look at the reason it was there in the first place before removing it?

My eyes are killing me!

If you don’t know what a migraine is like, you can read about it here.
