I don’t know about you, but I just don’t see the resemblance.

This is the game that I’ve been playing all weekend…

and oh…how much fun am I having? lots….lots and lots.

I’m a huge fan of the first Neverwinter Nights, which was an incredible campaign of RPG fun. I finished the original campaign, and purchased the two major expansion packs, Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark. Both of them were equally engaging, and I finished SoU but I could not complete HotU. I got to the last major fight in the game and simply couldn’t be the bad guys.

So…I decided that my adventures would continue in NWN2 instead. Perhaps some day I will go back and resurrect my old character and play through the campaigns again, but it’s unlikely.

As a wise and learned man once said: We can go back…to the past…we have to move forward.

Indeed.

My favourite game on the PS2 is Kinetica, if for no other reason than they have an AWESOME soundtrack featuring the musical stylings of Hybrid.

If you haven’t heard of Hybrid, get on your iTunes or Rhapsody right away and look for Wider Angle Special Edition. Incredible trance/dance/techno music.

High school sucks.Aside from pimples, cliques and homework, the primary problem is that you have no choices day to day. You are required to go to a particular school. You must clean your room. You have to eat your vegetables. You have no options. Except whom you make out with. You can choose that. [Link]

I suppose it was only inevitable, I mean we already have The Sims, and virtual sites like Second Life, might as well have one that focuses on the younger generation.

When I was in high school, I wasn’t really out. Some people knew that I wasn’t exactly straight, but it’s not like I had a boyfriend, or took a boy to the prom (which I didn’t go to anyway). So I can’t ever recall kissing a boy back then. I think the first boy I kissed was in college, which is truly sad. I missed out on some passionate, testosterone induced making out!

Now I can re-live those days in Bully! Of course, that assumes that hell has frozen over and I would ever want to re-live my high school days. While I’m sure there were several guys that I would have enjoyed making out with in high school, I have such a poor memory that I don’t really remember them.

I’d have to haul out the yearbook to see…then of course I would be met with awful hairstyles of the 80’s, and I would realize why I never kissed any of them. :-)

Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they’ll get hurt and hold the school liable. [Link]

I’m sorry but this is just ridiculous. Apparently, our litigious society has now taken all the fun out of even being a child.

I remember the best (and worst) days of elementary school beingDodge Ball @ Nintendo City those when the weather was cool outside, and everyone rushed out to beat me to the ground with the big rubber dodge ball…or the three legged races that ended with me having a face full of dirt and sand…or sliding down the metal slide after a warm morning and having 3rd degree burns on the backs of my legs (this didn’t really happen to me)…or chasing all the cute girls around the playground trying to kiss them…

Gosh…I might have fallen! I might have gotten a cut! A piece of metal might have blown into my eye requiring a magnetic drill to get it out (this one really happened to me)! I might have *gasp* been a kid!

I’m sorry Mr. Principal, we’re suing you and the school board for $18 million dollars, because our little Sally got dirt on her nose today while swinging on the jungle gym. Dirt is unacceptable in society, and you and the school board should have taken measures to clean it up so that children would not be smudged.”

I want life back…
