This is how happy I am about Wordpress 2.3.2Ok - I’m in happy in love with the newest version of Wordpress, 2.3.2.

Yes, I realize it’s been out for weeks, but this was the first opportunity I had to perform the upgrade, which includes a bunch of new features, and security settings.

If you run your own blog, Wordpress really is the way to go. I’ve tinkered around with other software like MT, but it just doesn’t come close to the types of plugins and customizations you can do with Wordpress.

Anyway, just a quick note here that the upgrade is done - please comment here if you experience any problems on the site.

Well, ok, not everyone, but the cool people at least :-).

Yeah, Right Series Large Mug What’s better than a “Yeah, Right” mug for those early mornings of bitter coffee? Go ahead…sit at the kitchen table with your house pants / night gown on and just stare out the front window with your cigarette in one hand and this delicious coffee mug in the other. Share your bitterness with the world.

Talk slow, I am an AmericanLet’s just admit it…because the rest of the world already knows.

I just upgraded our phone data plans to unlimited everything.

I’m tired of limits, and tired of paying overage fees.

I don’t have any idea about Cellular Video - never watched it, and the idea of watching a TV show on my phone seems weird, however, radio/music streaming is nice :-)

Here’s what we get…

All of that goodness for only $39.99/month per line on top of our phone service.

Wahoo!

However, if you prefer Feedburner feeds, I am now providing that option (which does provide me with some better reporting options).

On the right sidebar you will see the Subscribe to Homo sarcasmus link (http://feeds.feedburner.com/HeathBuckmaster), and I encourage you to use it :-).

If you prefer to receive email alerts, that option is now available as well, in the box directly beneath the subscription link you can enter an email and you’ll be served.

Best wishes for a wonderful 2008 of insightful and adventurous social media!

I finally had time to put my new computer together today, and it’s in the middle of installing Vista Ultimate, so I am taking a break on my other computer to blog.

The new computer is an HP Pavillion - Core 2 Duo and all that good stuff, pretty much fully loaded. I have a Dell which has served me well for many years (Pentium 4), but I wanted to step into the next generation of computing, and then convert the old system to another linux box.

So far so good - I really like the form factor of the HP Pavillion. The ports for USB, audio, media cards, etc. are easy to access and intuitive. I of course wiped the system to get rid of all the junk that comes pre-installed, and now I’m letting Vista Ultimate consume the machine.

I have a few posts backed up in the system…what can I say, I had a lot of candy at the White Elephant Party.

Coming soon: info about Cirque du Soleil Kooza, our trip to Apple Hill, the White Elephant Party, and t-shirts everyone should own.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Oh - the book is now back available for sale.

By popular demand, here are 10 posts you have likely not seen, especially if you’re a new subscriber to this blog. When syndicating, I think my setup is configured only to go back 10 posts…so if you’re subscribing from fresh, you’re missing out on a veritable cornucopia of interesting topics from the last 2+ years…

So here are a few things you might want to read and catch up on…

  2. Weddings
  3. The Gay Agenda
  4. Crazy Pills (and dreams about Britney Spears)
  5. Migraines

My Declining Technorati RankOk, so what is up with this.

In a matter of DAYS my Technorati rank has dropped from 24 to 18. I mean, literally, in a matter of less than 5 days…

Now I’m not a Technorati whore or anything like that, but seriously, what is going on?

I’m hurt. Very, very hurt. And exhausted. This waking up at 4:30am stuff after having slept on a barely full size hotel bed is just not ok.
